Bondaweb: 45cm Wide

Bondaweb is a web adhesive on paper. The paper supports the web while drawing as well as ironing. With Bondaweb®,
different materials and fabrics can be fused together by ironing, very easily.
Bondaweb is ideal for fancy appliqués (further information on the back page) and textile handicrafts in all forms and colours
as well as for repairs. With Bondaweb you can let your creative streak run wild!
Bondaweb TAPES are used in clothing for manufacturing belt loops, as pre-fix tapes and for seams and hems. Bondaweb®
tapes are also used in home decoration for curtains and decorative applications.
Create your own individual design, PAINT the adhesive side of Bondaweb® with acrylic paint, and then let it dry well. Place
the adhesive side of Bondaweb on the right side of the fabric and iron it on from the paper side. Afterwards let everything
cool down well. Carefully pull off the base paper of Bondaweb. Note, the painted side always has to be covered
with baking paper if it is to be re-ironed afterwards.

1. Place two layers of Bondaweb (without the paper) on the wrong side of the fabric. Then, put one layer of Solufleece on it.
2. Sew it in parallel lines (e.g. in a distance of about 1 cm.) or irregular.
3. Place the steam-iron on the highest setting and steam the Solufleece by holding the iron just above the Solufleece and
"hover” – DO NOT IRON! The Solufleece will contract, gathering the fabric and generating the "smock” effect.
When the fabric stops shrinking the process is finished. The size of the "smocking” is determined by how the fabric is
tucked in. A uniform "smock effect” is achieved by sewing with even sewing lines. Sewing the fabric in a criss-cross or
random way, will create an irregular smocking effect.
4. Repeat this process 2-3 times on each side.
5. Processed fabric has to be cooled down after Crashing for a minimum of 1 hour. After, the Solufleece should be washed out
several times and dried accordingly.
6. The Bondaweb® holds the fabric work permanently in the desired crashed condition .
  • 1. Draw the motif on the paper side of Bondaweb®. Cut out roughly.
  • 2. Place Bondaweb with the rough side on the wrong side of the fabric. Iron dry for 5 seconds , .
  • 3. Cut the motif out precisely, remove paper backing. With the coated side down place on the fabric.
  • 4. With a damp cloth lightly iron each area for about 6 -7 seconds, - .
  • 5. To complete a process, stitch the application with a zig-zag stitch. For additional stability, place Stitch-n-Tear underneath
